About Pyrosil®

The PYROSIL® precursors are silicon-containing substances and are dosed into a natural gas or propane gas flame for PYROSIL®-treatment (also called silicating).

This produces an amorphous silicon dioxide that will deposit on the material surface in a very thin (5 - 100 nm), but extremely firmly adhering layer.

The PYROSIL® precursors are delivered in cartridges as a gas mixture for the hand-held devices or in a liquid form for the systems. They are certified, homogenised, stabilised and highly chemically pure.

PYROSIL® refill MGK is the operating resource for the hand-held flame treatment device FB25 and GVE.

It is a mixture of Propane, Butane and PYROSIL®. PYROSIL® refill MGK burns in the flame and deposits on the surface in a dense and firmly adhering SiO₂ coating.

Applications: Creation of an adhesion promotion layer for e.g. UV- hardening paints, inks and glues

PYROSIL® refill P is the operating resource for the hand-held flame treatment device FB25 and GVE.

It is a mixture of Propane, Butane and PYROSIL®. PYROSIL® refill MGK burns in the flame and deposits on the surface in a dense and firmly adhering SiO₂ coating.

Material suitability: plastic

Applications: Creation of an adhesion promotion layer for e.g.  UV- hardening paints, inks and glues

PYROSIL® CH-Liquid is the operating fluid for PYROSIL® systems of the type STS 10.2 and ST. It is a precursor which is fed to propane or methane gas flame and air by the above system. The material combusts in the flame to form SiO_x .

Application: Producing of anorganic adhesive agent coating or other functional layer e.g. for temporary corrosion protection or advanced transmission on glass.
