A plastic component does not have the desired color, so you decide on the spur of the moment to lacquer. In spite of several layers of lacquer, it is not possible to achieve a uniform coating. At some point on the surface, the film opens up and forms itself into tiny spheres.

Neither the manufacturer of the adhesive nor the lacquer company can be held responsible. Although both have delivered first-class products, the user has problems by the application. The reason lies in the behavior of the component surface. Too few bonding areas for the adhesive, or, not enough surface energy available, which is decisive for a proper coating.

From an industrial point of view, the afore mentioned problems form the core of an immense expenditure in research to find appropriate solutions.
